职场英语: 商务谈判中不可忽略的单词

       在此之前，我们已经学习过了商务谈判中的一些有用的英语句型，可以在我们商务谈判中助我们一臂之力。今天，我们再进一步学习一些比较有用的单词，可以说是必不可少的，如果熟悉和掌握了这些单词，那对我们的商务谈判也能起到很大的作用！

1. amplify---expand; give more information 进一步叙述,阐发

   You may need to amplify this point. 

     你可能需要对这一点进一步予以说明.

 2. arbitration---conflict that is addressed by using a neutral third party 仲裁;公断

     Both sides in the dispute have agreed to go to arbitration. 

       争执双方已同意提请仲裁.

 3. alternatives---other options 其他的选择

      What alternatives are there? 

        还有什么可选择的? 

     You can be paid in cash weekly or by chequemonthly; those are the two alternatives. 

        你的工资可以按周以现金支取,或按月以支票支取.二者可选其一.

     We can't offer you the raise you requested, but let's discuss some other alternatives.

       我们无法满足你要的加薪,但我们可以商量下看看有没有其他选择.

 4. bargain---try to change a person's mind by using various tactics 商讨条件

    In the market dealers were bargaining with growers over the price of coffee. 

       在市场上商人正和种植者就咖啡的价格进行商谈.

5. bottom-line---the lowest one is willing to go 底线,可接受的最低价格

    Two thousand─and that's my bottom line! 两千块--不能再低了!

    I'll accept a raise of one dollar per hour, but that'smy bottom-line.

      我可以接受每小时涨薪1美元,但是不能再低了.

 6. collective---together 集体的;共有的;共同的

       collective leadership/decision-making 集体领导╱决策 

        collective responsibility 共同责任 

 7. compensate---make up for a loss 补偿;弥补

     Her lawyers say she should be compensated both for her injuries and for the suffering she hadbeen caused. 

      她的律师说她不但应当得到伤害赔偿,而且还应当得到因伤害而遭受痛苦的赔偿.

8. compromise---changing one's mind/terms slightly in order to find a resolution (为达成协议而)妥协,折中,让步

    Neither side is prepared to compromise. 双方都不愿意妥协.

9.concession---a thing that is granted or accepted 让步;妥协

    The firm will be forced to make concessions if it wants to avoid a strike. 

     要想避免罢工,公司将不得不作出一些让步.

     to win a concession from somebody 取得某人的让步 

     a major/an important concession 重大的让步
